Help Prepare A Meal

On-going
Help prepare a meal for the ladies of DWC with your friends or other volunteers! By providing some of the ingredients and helping to prepare the meal, you help DWC keep our meal costs down while also providing delicious and healthy meals to the Ladies we serve. We provide the menu, recipes, grocery list, and hands-on instruction. This opportunity is available for individuals and groups. For more information, contact Allison Bamberg, Volunteer Associate, at allisonb@DWCweb.org or 213-680-0600 ext.208.

Product Development Workshops
On-going
This is an exciting opportunity to share your creativity and expertise with the women we serve.  We are looking for volunteer Product Designers who are interested in creating products that the participants can make for the Social Enterprise Retail Store.   This will be done by offering a series of workshops to teach participants the skills needed to make and complete the product.  Previous and current workshops have included tote bags, chia clay products, scarves, rugs, journals, clothing alterations, whatever you can come up with!

We are currently looking for volunteers that can teach: Candle Making, Jewelry Making or Basic Sewing Class
Please fill out the Product Development Workshop Proposal and send it to Vanessa Wai, Social Enterprise Operations Manager, at VanessaW@DWCweb.org.

Spanish Speakers
On-going
DWC is always in need of Spanish speakers for translations, teaching workshops, and other day-to-day needs. If you speak Spanish and would like to volunteer, please let us know and we will get you involved with an opportunity that is a good fit for you! For more information, please contact Allison Bamberg, Volunteer Associate, at allisonb@DWCweb.org or 213-680-0600 ext.208.

Help Sort and Organize Donations
On-going
Sort and organize donations for an hour or an afternoon! DWC is very fortunate to receive large amounts of donations throughout the year, and we need help sorting them so the donations can get to the Ladies quickly and efficiently. This opportunity is great for people who love to organize or have an eye for fashion! It is available all Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons and can be scheduled for other days as needed. This opportunity is available for both individuals and groups. Please contact Allison Bamberg, Volunteer Associate, at allisonb@DWCweb.org or 213-680-0600 ext.208 if you are interested.
