VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Donation Sorting
With the upcoming holidays and the opening of the MADE by DWC Resale Shop, our Vocational Staff is looking for interested volunteers to help us with our incoming donations here at the Center. We are looking for both group and individual volunteers in October to help us organize and track inventory, think of storage strategies, and sort donations that will go to the women.

Donation Sorting takes place weekly on Wednesday and Fridays from 1:30-3:30pm and the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month. Availability outside these dates is possible by appointment. Interested volunteers can contact Steven Alvarez, Sr. Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at StevenA@DWCweb.org.

Special Projects
MADE by DWC Resale Shop is opening up in early November and we are looking individuals and groups who would like to be involved and help out with getting our new retail space ready for the public. Groups will have an opportunity to assemble storage areas, inventory products, sorting room set up and other projects. Groups interested in these activities can contact, Katie Slack, Community and Corporate Engagement Coordinator at KatieS@DWCweb.org.

Volunteer Leaders
Are you interested in developing leadership skills? Want to inspire and motivate your community to take action? Lead volunteers in activities and help them see an impact at DWC? Then become a Volunteer Leader! We are looking for leaders to help manage donation sorting groups and other activities around DWC. For volunteers interested in becoming leaders, contact Steven Alvarez, Sr. Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at StevenA@DWCweb.org.

Direct Service Roles
The holiday period is a critical time for everyone at DWC. We have plenty of holiday events and celebrations occurring each month and our staff can use the extra support at the Front Desk of the Day Center, Residence Lobby, Kitchen and Learning Center. Volunteers should have daytime availability for these activities and have gone through Orientation and Training. For volunteers that are interested, contact Steven Alvarez, Sr. Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at StevenA@DWCweb.org.
